Acceptance Criteria

Bluegrass registration DOES NOT guarantee acceptance into the event.

BLUEGRASS DIVISIONS OFFERED:

OPEN – For the elite teams and is the highest, most competitive division.

PREMIER – The next level designed for the teams that are in between the OPEN and CLUB divisions.

CLUB – The middle level of play

CLASSIC – The lower level of play

ASPIRE – Continuation of the Classic Division, lowest level of play

CRITERIA FOR ACCEPTANCE

STRENGTH OF TEAMS:The Bluegrass Tournament has become a highly competitive and heavily recruited event. This is due mainly to the large number of outstanding clubs that participate. Our main objective is to continue to provide the high level of excellence by using STRENGTH as a top consideration for acceptance.

DIVERSITY: We feel that another important ingredient of a good tournament is to be able to offer DIVERSITY. Teams appreciate and enjoy having good competitive matches with as many different teams (clubs) as possible. We have been fortunate to be able to offer this DIVERSITY and hope to continue.

REDUNDANCE: Contrary to the DIVERSITY topic above is REDUNDANCE. One complaint we have had is that in the weaker divisions, teams have had to play three and four teams in the same club. We realize this is not what people are looking for and will certainly be a consideration. It becomes a difficult task when large clubs have 6-8 teams in the same age division. PREVIOUS SUPPORT Certainly we will consider the support you have shown this event in past years when working through the acceptance process.

REGISTRATION AND ENTRY PAYMENT: To tell you that we are only taking teams on a first come, first serve basis would not be accurate. This would be hard to do and maintain some of the criteria we have established above. Entry fee must be paid to be considered for acceptance. All entry fees of teams that are not accepted would be refunded. Again, we certainly appreciate your support in the past and want the Ultra Ankle Bluegrass Tournament to continue to provide your club with a competitive and enjoyable experience.

Cancellation Policy:

• If the cancellation occurs before Friday, January, 19^th we will issue a 100% refund to all participants.

• If the cancellation occurs after Friday, January, 19^th and before Friday, February, 2^nd there will be a 50% refund issued. 
• A cancellation must occur via e-mail to Event Director (ALAN@KIVASPORTS.NET). Any team that drops after Friday, February 2^nd or not in writing via e-mail will receive no refund. 

Housing

Team Travel Source is our official housing provider for Adidas Bluegrass Tournament. Housing for the Adidas Bluegrass Tournament will open at 12:00PM EST on Monday, October 2, 2023.

Playing WAVES & HOTELS:

• The Adidas Bluegrass Tournament intends to release playing waves by December 17th.
• ** Please note that the playing waves released will be the INTENDED waves. You may want to consider a two-night stay regardless of your original playing wave. **
