Can athletes connect directly with coaches at the event?
Yes!
Seniors, Juniors, and Sophomores will be able to directly connect one-on-one with college coaches after their showcase session.
There will also be a discussion panel where athletes can ask questions to all coaches present.
Why aren't freshmen connecting with coaches?
DI and DII college coaches can’t proactively contact recruits until certain dates starting in an athlete’s sophomore year. DIII college coaches don’t typically start recruiting athletes until their sophomore/junior year.
That said, we’re reserving the 1-on-1 time to connect with college coaches at this recruiting event for sophomores, juniors, and seniors, as that’s who the coaches will want to talk to. This is why the freshmen registration price is less than sophomore – senior registration.
But here’s the advantage freshmen will have by attending this recruiting event:
- EXPOSURE
Although coaches are not typically looking to meet with freshmen yet, they are keeping an eye on upcoming talent to inform their future recruiting efforts. Get seen NOW so that coaches can recognize you and follow your path as you get started on your recruitment journey. - FOOTAGE
Athletes can get the video highlights package post-event to use for their recruiting profile so that they can be found and also have footage when contacting and connecting with coaches post-event. - CONTACT INFO
Although coaches don’t reach out to freshmen yet, athletes can kickstart a relationship via email with the coaches that have now seen them play! All Combine athletes will receive the email addresses of the college coaches at the event. Athletes can start the conversation with these coaches, which is a great opportunity for them to connect in-person at future recruiting events!
Can athletes get highlight/recruiting footage from the livestream?
Yes!
Post-event, you can purchase a footage from LiveBarn to use for your recruiting videos. This would be great to use when athletes follow up with coaches from the event.
We’ll share a LiveBarn link closer to the event.
Will there be jump testing?
Yes! Once athlete is checked in and has their pinnie on, they should head to jump testing.
- Session 1 (Junior/Sophomore) jump testing will be 7:30 AM – 8:15 AM
- Session 2 (Senio/Freshmen) jump testing will be 11:15 AM – 12:00 PM
Are spectators allowed?
Yes! However, with the way the gym is laid out, if your athlete(s) are on the back courts, it will be more difficult to watch them.
The bleachers on each court are reserved for college coaches recruiting.
OR if they can use bleachers: Parents can head to the bleachers on each court at the BEGINNING of the showcase. You will not be allowed to walk across courts to get to back courts once the showcase starts, as this can interfere with live play.
NO OUTSIDE CHAIRS!
Do I need to pay for parking?
No – parking at CES is free.
How do I contact who's in charge?
Send us an email at NEPS@topcourtevents.com and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can!
